Jim McIngvale- The Mattress Mack

Success is not possible without hardwork and to achieve the same one needs to be focused. This is true in case of Jim McIngvale who is popularly known as Mattress Mack. This is all about a guy who appeared in late night television, dressed up in bed cushions and waved dollar bills to promote his Gallery Furniture. He is  an effective entrepreneur, movie producer and  risk taker. He is an author and  Houston supporter  as well. McIngvale was born in Mississippi and brought up  in Dallas.

Sometime ago, back in 1981, Jim and his wife Linda, with only five thousand between them, came to Houston and started the Gallery Furniture. Not very familiar with the town and its people, it was not very easy for them to setup and establish themselves. Houston was a rich, flourishing and moneyed town with oil and gas deposits. They liked the place very much and took a chance by starting a business there.
   
The company starting off as a small office grew up into a large showroom measuring 100,000 square feet in area. It now boasts of a warehouse of similar strength and employee strength of three hundred employees. With a fleet of about 60 trucks, which are utilized for deliveries, they earn more than $150 million a year. They now serve the entire US and are a household name in Houston.

Jim McIngvale gained recognition because of timely and effective advertising. His hilarious commercials worked wonders and brought in the business. Special attention was paid to customers by visiting them frequently and taking care of their new products. He  took up the opportunity to present his brand as effectively as possible to bring in the customers.
